Bakgrund
Curator och projektledare på Artland sedan 2002.
Arbetar som konstkonsult vid offentliga konstgestaltningar samt som frilansande curator inom samtidskonst.
Organiserar också seminarier och konferenser och har ett stort nätverk av samarbetspartners.
 
Torun Ekstrand initierade och var projektledare för Art Line, ett fyrårigt projekt mellan konstinstitutioner, museum, akademi och ett färjerederi i Östersjöområdet. Samarbetet inbegrep 14 institutioner i fem länder, Polen, Ryssland, Litauen, Tyskland och Sverige. Idag fortsätter arbetet med att skapa ett nytt samarbete mellan alla 10 länderna runt Östersjön, inklusive Ryssland och Vitryssland. Think Tank Transbaltic
handlar om stads- och samhällsutveckling med konstnärliga praktiker som bas.

Background
Curator and project manager at Artland since 2002.
Works as an art consultant in public art commissions as well as freelance curator within contemporary art.
Organizes seminars and conferences and have a large network of collaborative partners.
 
Torun Ekstrand initiated and was the project manager for Art Line, a four-year project between art institutions, museums, academia and ferry companies in the Baltic region. The cooperation included 14 institutions in five countries, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Germany and Sweden.
Today, the work of creating a new partnership between harbor cities in 10 countries around the Baltic Sea , including Russia and Belarus. Thinktank TransBaltic will be focused on city- and societal development with artistic practices as a base.
